Occupation: Adventurer, KunoichiBackground: Saya's earliest memories are of being an orphan on the streets of Kugane, doing her best to care for herself and her little sister Chiaki. Those were lean times, scavenging for food and resorting to petty theft to supplement, and lack of nutrition during her early development is almost certainly why she measures slightly below accepted height and weight minimums for miqot'e women.One morning during Saya's 12th year, she and Chiaki were hiding in a ship's hold after the Sekiseigumi chased them for pinching some breakfast onigiri. Waiting for the search to die down, the sisters fell asleep and the next thing they knew they were underway in the Ruby Sea. Inevitably discovered, Saya and Chiaki were tossed off the ship near the village of Isari, and the young strays were promptly chased off by the villagers. After several days, lost, frightened, and starving, the two found themselves on the Azim Steppe. Constantly running and hiding to evade monsters, and scared to approach any settlements, the girls finally collapsed in exhaustion, starved and nearly dead. They woke up in a yurt. A nomadic tribe of Au Ra found the girls, and a family with a daughter Saya's age adopted them, giving Saya a third sister, the auri Chiaki, a haven, and a family.13 years later Saya traveled to Eorzea. Her natural gifts in quickness and evasion led her to ninjitsu training, her core skill. She has mastered many fighting and magical disciplines since, but always falls back on her training as a kunoichi in a pinch. She occasionally accepts jobs as an adventurer, or as a kunoichi when circumstances call for it, but she mostly goes where her feet take her when she is not resting in her Shirogane home. ((Ultros w29 p57, visitors welcome))Personality: Saya is serious and quiet around strangers, and will often hide behind overly polite behavior. When she is comfortable, she is silly and a bit of a doofus. She enjoys flirting and while she rarely initiates it, if someone is kind she will happily play along. She has no patience for rude or inconsiderate people and will usually distance herself from them as quickly as possible. She rarely drinks but enjoys food of all sorts, although she tends to avoid anything very sweet. She loves to dance, and will often dance by herself if there is no one around to dance with. Saya is fluent in Hingan, Doman, several tribal tongues and of course common.Likes: Onigiri, green tea, black coffee, spicy food, and fishing
